Shore - Central A recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Shore - Central A this week, Rumson-Fair Haven beat Monmouth Regional 42-6. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Rumson-Fair Haven took down the Falcons 42-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Monmouth Regional's dynamic duo of James Green and Isaiah Searight proved to be unstoppable against Bryan Batchler's team, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Green threw for 138 yards and 1 touchdown and Searight had 61 yards receiving. Eli Velez helped Monmouth Regional's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 29 yards.
Larry Redaelli was a beast in the backfield as Red Bank Catholic defeated Middletown South.
Redaelli provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Caseys beat the Eagles. Redaelli's key target this week was Connor Smith, who caught 3 passes for 35 yards.
Raritan's Riley Sullivan and James Wines led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Sullivan has thrown for 874 yards this season, while Wines has 29 catches for 344 yards. Red Bank Catholic's Redaelli leads the league in rushing yards with 1,156.
As it stands, the Bulldogs are in first, while Manasquan is in third.
The league will see a high scoring game when Jim Portela's team and Rich Mosca's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Caseys comes in having scored 336 this season, while the Falcons have scored 103. Red Bank Catholic scored 41 points last week as it defeated Middletown South.
The Rockets made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,933 from 8,123.
