Basketball Recap: Grand Oaks Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Grand Oaks entered their tilt with Willis on Wednesday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They claimed a resounding 75-21 victory over the Willis Wildkats. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Bree Riley, who went 13 for 19 on her way to 33 points and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Grand Oaks' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Reynolds, who posted 13 points and three steals.

Grand Oaks was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Willis only posted three assists.

Grand Oaks has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.6 points. As for Willis, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Grand Oaks and Willis will both be playing Caney Creek the next time they take the court. Grand Oaks will host Caney Creek at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Willis will host them at 6:30 p.m. on January 15th.
