Basketball Recap: Fairmont Gets the Win

Fairmont lost to New Ulm back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Fairmont Cardinals came out on top against the New Ulm Eagles by a score of 65-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Fairmont now has a winning record of 3-2. As for New Ulm, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairmont will be home for the holidays to greet Jackson County Central at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Fairmont knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Jackson County Central likes a good challenge.
