The Eureka Loggers lost against the Arcata Tigers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Eureka received a tough blow as they fell 67-49 to the Tigers. Eureka has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Eureka still got an impressive performance from Julian Goodman, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahmil Rippy, who scored nine points.
Arcata found their leader in underclassman Luke Lemke, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Lemke is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Lucian Rodriguez, who scored 14 points.
Eureka has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for Arcata, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eureka will square off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Arcata, they will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Del Norte is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
