Smithfield and Grafton are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Smithfield Packers will head out on the road to take on the Grafton Clippers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Smithfield is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 17-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Smithfield scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 44-37 win over York. The victory was just what Smithfield needed coming off of a 72-6 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Grafton came up short against Jamestown on Thursday and fell 49-36.
Smithfield's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-16. As for Grafton, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-4.
Smithfield took a serious blow against Grafton in their previous meeting back in January, falling 79-25. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Grafton's Taylor Ragland, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 13 rebounds.
