With a playoff game on the line, the Miami Christian Victors rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 85-44 victory over the Patriots at home. Miami Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Miami Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylyn Laguna, who scored 25 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Laguna has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maria De Gracia, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds.
The victory (which was Miami Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 11-12. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Colonial Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
Miami Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-49 loss vs. Schoolhouse Prep on the 9th. Colonial Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
