The Litchfield Purple Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Riverton by a score of  29-26. Litchfield has struggled against Riverton recently, as their  game on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 Litchfield's lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Chloe Law, who  scored 6 points along with 5  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Daphney Hartel, who  scored 8 points along with 7  rebounds.
 Litchfield's defeat was  their third straight at home, which  bumped their record down to 1-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's  offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.7 points per game. As for Riverton, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Litchfield will  square off against Vandalia at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Riverton won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Mt. Pulaski at 6:00  p.m.  on December 5th.
