Basketball Recap: Conestoga Christian Skates Past Alliance Christian with Ease

Conestoga Christian won against Dayspring Christian Academy last Monday with 60 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Conestoga Christian Cougars really took it to the Alliance Christian Gryphons for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-30 victory. The team ran away with 46 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.

Conestoga Christian was led to victory by Josh Boutaugh and Bransen Weaver. Boutaugh went 5 of 9 on his way to 12 points and six assists, while Weaver posted ten points and seven rebounds. That's the most rebounds Weaver has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Shrom, who had 13 points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Conestoga Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Conestoga Christian and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conestoga Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Coventry Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Alliance Christian also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Lancaster County Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
