Softball Recap: Beaver Wins Going Away Against Western Beaver

Beaver won the last time they faced Western Beaver and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 13-6 margin over the Golden Beavers. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.

Jaedyn Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on 11 hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Sami Springman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Bridget Mayo was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Beaver and bumps their season record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Western Beaver, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Beaver will take on Moon Area at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Western Beaver, they will square off against Mars at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Beavers are facing the Fightin' Planets at the right time seeing as the Fightin' Planets are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
