Gracelynn Landis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks. She is also on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played.
At the plate, Jillian Wimmer was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Camryn Poppoff was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Owen J. Roberts hadn't beaten Boyertown on the road since April 30, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them two weeks ago. The Wildcats came out on top against the Bears by a score of 5-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.
Maddie Reed made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Reed was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Amelia Atkins, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
Coatesville pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Owen J. Roberts, their record now sits at 14-5.
Both Coatesville and Owen J. Roberts just can't seem to miss. The Red Raiders have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Owen J.
