Lanier scored first but ultimately less than Founders Classical Academy in their game on Tuesday. They lost 16-10 to the Founders Classical Academy Hoplites. One positive for the Voks, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Ruben Lopez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He also got a hit, marking his first of the season.

Even though they lost, Lanier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

Lanier's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4-1.

While they had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
