The Fairfax Lions and the Ferndale Wildcats squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Fairfax Lions had to settle for second. They fell 29-21 to the Wildcats. Fairfax's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Fairfax lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sebastian Ikolo. Despite the final result, he picked up 179 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Fairfax's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Ferndale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Fairfax does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ferndale also has no future games currently scheduled.
