If the Fair Lawn Cutters were feeling good off their 48-24 takedown of the Passaic Valley Hornets last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fair Lawn's rough 51-28 loss to West Milford on Thursday might stick with them for a while. Fair Lawn was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as West Milford apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Monday.
West Milford got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kailey Maskerines out in front who scored ten points along with four steals. Maskerines is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Laurel Space was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six steals.
Fair Lawn's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for West Milford, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.
Fair Lawn will head out on the road to square off against Rutherford at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Milford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kennedy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Kennedy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Thursday.
