The McGehee Owls will head out on the road to face off against the Bauxite Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McGehee knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Bauxite likes a good challenge.
Last Thursday, McGehee made easy work of Central and carried off a 49-24 win.
Meanwhile, Bauxite waltzed into Thursday's match with three straight wins but they left with four. They strolled past Harmony Grove with points to spare, taking the game 28-14.
It was another big night for Marcus Wimberly, who rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
McGehee now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bauxite, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
