The Neuse Christian Academy Lions lost against the Wayne Christian Eagles back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Neuse Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 83-43 loss at the hands of Wayne Christian. Neuse Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-17.
Despite the loss, Neuse Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Josh Martin, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. Martin scored a full 48.8% of Neuse Christian Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Aiden Graham was another key contributor, scoring 5 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Neuse Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Wayne Christian, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Neuse Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Friendship Christian at 8:00 p.m. on December 15th. As for Wayne Christian, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Cape Fear Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Cape Fear Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Wednesday.
