Pinon has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Music Mountain Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pinon will be strutting in after a win while Music Mountain will be coming in after a defeat.
Pinon scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Greyhills Academy at home to the tune of 96-9. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Pinon has managed all season.
Pinon relied on the efforts of Kylie Bia, who scored 22 points along with five assists and two steals, and Shanna Begaye, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Begaye has scored all season. Aliyah Tsedah was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Music Mountain suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 61-34 loss at the hands of Mayer.
Pinon's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13. As for Music Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
