There's no place like home for the Columbus North Bull Dogs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 64-55 win over Bloomington South on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Columbus North found their leader in underclassman Avery Johnson, who scored 21 points. Johnson also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Olivia Johnson, who scored eight points.
Columbus North's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-7. As for Bloomington South, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
Columbus North will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Carmel at 7:30 p.m. As for Bloomington South, they will head out on the road to face off against Mooresville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mooresville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bloomington South in Indiana (Mooresville is ranked 27th, while Bloomington South is ranked 136th).
