Basketball Recap: Sickles' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

After losing to Leto the last time they met, Sickles decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Everything went the Sickles Gryphons' way against the Leto Falcons on Tuesday as the Sickles Gryphons made off with an 85-60 victory. The Gryphons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 25 points or more this season.

Sickles got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chase Weismiller out in front who went 7 of 15 on his way to 17 points and three steals. William Davis also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Sickles was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leto only posted nine assists.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Izaiah Vazquez, who posted 18 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakobe Bruton, who went 8 for 16 en route to 17 points.

The victory (which was Sickles' third in a row) raised their record to 12-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Leto, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Sickles didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 88-50 win against Durant on the 17th. As for Leto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-67 victory against Tampa Bay Tech on the 17th.
