Wynne dropped down to 3-2 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Marion Patriots by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 last Saturday.

As for Marion, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.0 runs this season.

For Marion's part, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Smith, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Solomon Flores also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Wynne will square off against Greene County Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marion, they will challenge Brookland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
