The Lakota Tech Tatanka's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 49-35 bruising from Mobridge-Pollock. Lakota Tech was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mobridge-Pollock apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Lakota Tech's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addisone Goings, who scored ten points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Goings grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shania Ferguson, who scored 14 points.
Lakota Tech's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-3. As for Mobridge-Pollock, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakota Tech will take on Chadron at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mobridge-Pollock, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Miller at 6:30 p.m.
