The Port Huron Red Hawks waltzed into their matchup Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They managed a 60-54 win over Croswell-Lexington. This was payback for Port Huron, who suffered a 74-49 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Garrett James had a dynamite game for Port Huron, scoring 35 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Port Huron's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Croswell-Lexington, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Port Huron is on the road again on Friday and play against Yale at 8:00 p.m. on December 29th. Yale knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Port Huron likes a good challenge. Croswell-Lexington will finish 2023 at home by hosting University at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
