Football Game Preview: Delta Panthers vs. Coal Ridge Titans + How To Watch

Delta is a perfect 4-0 against Coal Ridge since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will host the Titans at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Friday, Delta took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-8 victory over Moffat County. The Panthers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Delta found their leader in freshman MACK Lockhart, who rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

Meanwhile, Coal Ridge hadn't done well against Aspen recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Titans breezed past the Skiers to the tune of 55-6.

Coal Ridge had a senior duo take command as Dylan Miller threw for 219 yards and four TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes and Angel Hernandez rushed for 100 yards and one score on only six carries. Miller has become a key player for the Titans: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

The win made it two in a row for Delta and bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 15 points in those games. As for Coal Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Jhett Ryan and Miller. Ryan just won't slow down this season and has thrown 16 touchdowns (and and only 3 picks) while averaging 95.2 passing yards per game. Miller has been a dominant force too and has thrown 25 touchdowns (and and only 3 picks) while averaging 214.4 passing yards per game.

Delta strolled past Coal Ridge when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 22-7. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
