Cross has gone a perfect 3-0 against Bridges Prep recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Stingrays will look to defend their home field against the Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Cross barely beat Thomas Heyward Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Stingrays put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 14-3 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Stingrays, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Savannah Hollings was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Hollings was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alaysia Hollings, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Sydney Hollings, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Bridges Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Edisto, falling 22-12.
Lillie Prater made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 5-for-5 with four stolen bases and four runs. Scarlett Foskey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Bridges Prep's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Cross, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Cross has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .540. However, it's not like Bridges Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .584. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Cross took their victory against Bridges Prep in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 15-3 score. Will the Stingrays repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
