North Central Thumb - South (8 Man) recap Sept. 26, 2012
Carsonville-Port Sanilac was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in North Central Thumb - South (8 Man). The Tigers defeated Kingston 51-36 earlier in the week.
Carsonville-Port Sanilac led the league in scoring this week after putting up 51 points on the Cardinals.
North Huron's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brandon Moore threw for 24 yards and Dustin Sieman had 24 yards receiving. On the ground Moore chipped in 313 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Kyle Case and Moore the Warriors have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Case leads the league in passing with 317 yards, while Moore has rushed for 937 yards this season. Caseville's Chase Lowers leads the league in receiving yards with 349 on 13 catches.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Tigers and Cardinal Mooney Catholic. Carsonville-Port Sanilac comes into the matchup ranked sixth in the state, while the Cardinals ranks 19th.
North Huron's Moore needs only 63 yards against Michigan Lutheran next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
