In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eva Taybior, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Bella Miller was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.
St. Louis Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Waconia ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against Chaska by a score of 14-11. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Hawks on their field since May 2, 2015.
Waconia got a massive performance out of Reagan Mieras, who went 4-for-6 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Peterson, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
St. Louis Park's record now sits at 9-7. As for Waconia, their record is now 4-11.
Waconia's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: St. Louis Park hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348. It's a different story for Waconia, though, as they've only averaged .232. Will they be able to contain St. Louis Park's hitters?
St. Louis Park might still be hurting after the 11-3 defeat they got from Waconia in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Orioles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
