The East Clarendon Wolverines were the 44-36 winner over the Latta Vikings when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. East Clarendon fell to Latta 50-46. East Clarendon has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Latta can attribute much of their success to Dorian Griffin, who scored 13 points along with 5 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Griffin has scored at least 25% of Latta's points. Amir Rogers was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 5 rebounds.
East Clarendon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Latta, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Clarendon's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hannah-Pamplico at 7:45 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Hannah-Pamplico focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday. As for Latta, they will head out on the road to face off against Aynor at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
