Even though Evansville Reitz has not done well against Evansville Mater Dei recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Evansville Reitz took down Evansville Mater Dei 49-34.
Evansville Reitz got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Norah Miller out in front who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Miller has scored at least 25% of Evansville Reitz's points. Bailey Hape was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 10 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Evansville Harrison's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 40-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Posey. Evansville Harrison has not had much luck with North Posey recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Evansville Reitz's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Evansville Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Everything went Evansville Reitz's way against Evansville Harrison in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as Evansville Reitz made off with a 68-46 victory.
