The Scarborough Spartans suffered their biggest loss since December 9, 2023 on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 64-18 loss at the hands of Wheatley. That's two games in a row now that Scarborough has lost by exactly 46 points.
Autumn Breedlove continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wheatley, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Breedlove is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jamie Solomon, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Scarborough's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.1 points per game. As for Wheatley, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-11.
Scarborough on the road again on Monday and play against North Forest at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. As for Wheatley, they will square off against Kashmere at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Kashmere is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
