Even though the Family Christian Academy Mustangs scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, the LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls still came out on top. LaBelle strolled past Family Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 72-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for LaBelle.
LaBelle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Williams, who scored 12 points along with eight steals. Williams is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. Giovanni Beaver was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
LaBelle's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Family Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
LaBelle and Lemon Bay will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Family Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Southwest Florida Christian at 6:30 p.m.
