Fort Mill had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They wrapped up 2024 with a 63-44 victory over the Spartanburg Vikings. Given the Yellow Jackets' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Vikings are ranked 97th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Mill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wallace Campbell, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Logan Parker, who had 15 points.

Fort Mill's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Spartanburg, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Mill will challenge Clover at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Fort Mill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.4 points per game this season. As for Spartanburg, they will take on Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
