Baseball Recap: Southeast Career Tech's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Southeast Career Tech waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Cheyenne Desert Shields get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The Roadrunners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by eight runs or more this season.

Asa Briggs tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Ethan Springfield was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lucas Jaggers, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Southeast Career Tech hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.

Southeast Career Tech's record is now 13-9. As for Cheyenne, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.

Southeast Career Tech wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-1 victory against Sports Leadership & Management on the 11th. As for Cheyenne, they have also already played their next match, an 18-5 win against Awaken Christian on the 12th.
