There was early excitement for The Cinco Ranch Cougars after they claimed the first score on Thursday, but it was the Katy Tigers who ended up claiming the real prize. Cinco Ranch had to suffer through a rough 42-13 loss at the hands of Katy. While losing is never fun, Cinco Ranch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Katy is ranked 35th).
Although Cinco Ranch took the loss, they still got scores from Gavin Beavers and Superior Hill.
