The Alliance Aviators will face off against the Southeast Pirates at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Alliance took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Washington. The Aviators haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Alaina Minear spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Alliance's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Graham, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Graham's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Southeast's hitters rose to the challenge against a Vikings pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.61 runs allowed on Tuesday. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 16-8 margin over LaBrae. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Southeast let Lily Hayes and Morgan Muncy run wild. Hayes went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Muncy went 4-for-5 with one home run and four runs. That's the most runs Muncy has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kirsten Harvey, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Southeast was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .387 that LaBrae posted.
Alliance's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Southeast, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Alliance hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .312. However, it's not like Southeast struggles in that department as they've averaged .392. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Alliance couldn't quite finish off Southeast in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 and fell 3-1. Can the Aviators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
