Northwestern (Kokomo, Ind.) beat
Peru (Ind.) 37-18 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, the Tigers were up 24-6 at the half.
Northwestern saw its 18-point halftime lead decrease to 13 entering the fourth.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 40-3 win for NHS.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Kokomo school, which lost to Hamilton Heights last week, 41-22. The win broke Northwestern's two-game losing streak. The loss was the fourth in a row for the Tigers.
In a Mid-Indiana game next week Peru (4-4) takes on Hamilton Heights, and Northwestern (5-3) will go up against Eastern also in a Mid-Indiana game.
