Basketball Recap: Good Samaritan Homeschool Skates Past Houston Homeschool Athletics with Ease

Good Samaritan HomeSchool saw some tournament action on Saturday. They breezed by the Houston Homeschool Athletics Mavericks to the tune of 40-5. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 25 points or more this season.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool found their leader in sophomore Jemma Spears, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Beck, who posted six points and four steals.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Houston Homeschool Athletics, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Good Samaritan HomeSchool's defense has only allowed 27.7 points per game this season, so Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool's offense will have their work cut out for them. Houston Homeschool Athletics does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
