Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Dudley Panthers walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 50-28 win on Friday. Dudley's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Andrew Attmore II was his usual excellent self, throwing for 378 yards and eight touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt. Attmore II hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nasir Newkirk, who picked up 126 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Robinson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Na'ledge Wright, who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown. Xavier Burnett was another key contributor, picking up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Dudley pushed their record up to 13-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Robinson, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-1.
Dudley will head out on the road to face off against Crest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Crest will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. Robinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
