Northwest Christian is 8-2 against Wickenburg since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Northwest Christian Crusaders will get right back to it and host the Wickenburg Wranglers at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Northwest Christian has six straight wins, Wickenburg has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Northwest Christian has not done well against Fountain Hills recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Northwest Christian walked away with a 57-45 victory over Fountain Hills.
Meanwhile, Wickenburg took a serious blow against Camp Verde on Friday, falling 76-37. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wickenburg in their matchups with Camp Verde: they've now lost eight in a row.
Northwest Christian pushed their record up to 15-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for Wickenburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Northwest Christian against Wickenburg when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 83-16 victory. Will Northwest Christian repeat their success, or does Wickenburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
