Golden took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Lakewood 9-2.

Like Golden, Columbine also got a great game from a two-way player: Izy Ryan. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Ryan was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with four RBI.
In other batting news, Ari Keiter and Liv Keiter did most of the damage at the plate: Ari scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances, while Liv scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Liv is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Katie Forbes also deserves some recognition as she stolen her first stolen base of the season.
Golden now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Columbine, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
