Booneville has gone a perfect 5-0 against Alcorn Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home field against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. Booneville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Alcorn Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Saturday, it was close, but Booneville sidestepped Wheeler for a 3-1 win. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Alcorn Central made sure to put some runs up on the board against Ingomar on Friday. The Bears blew past the Falcons 15-7. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Sydnee Norman was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Norman was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Adysen Davis was incredible, going 2-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Journey Phillips was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Alcorn Central's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Booneville, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 8-5.
Booneville beat Alcorn Central 7-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
