South Lyon East can attribute much of their success to Sammy Perlman, who had eight aces and one assist. Those eight aces gave Perlman a new career-high. Laurel Jeung also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Mott's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for South Lyon East, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-4-1.
