Mogollon added to the longest winning streak in VI Section I (8 Man) this week by beating Mayer, 38-6. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Joseph City took down Ash Fork 52-12 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Glendale Prep Academy's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jarred Yada threw for 133 and 2 touchdowns and Noah Kersting had 88 yards receiving. On the ground Myles Mattox contributed 220 yards. Nathan Poston helped Glendale Prep Academy's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 41 yards.
Mattox was a force in the backfield as the Griffins topped Fredonia.
Gabe Klein was a key player and the best on defense this week as Glendale Prep Academy beat the Lynx. The 6-foot-1 senior recorded 2 fumbles.
Mattox provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Jamie Self's team defeated Fredonia. Mattox's favorite target this week was Kersting, who caught 3 passes for 88 yards.
Kersting was the best wideout in the league this week as the Griffins bested Aaron Derbidge's team. Poston helped Glendale Prep Academy's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 41 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Glendale Prep Academy's Yada and Kersting have proven to be a lethal combination. Yada has thrown for 780 yards this season, while Kersting has 18 catches for 355 yards. Mogollon's Dallin Despain leads the league in rushing yards with 853.
The marquee game in VI Section I (8 Man) this week will be the clash between Tim Slade's team and the Lynx. The Mustangs enters the game ranked fourth in the state, while Fredonia ranks 22nd.
