Medina has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Newfane Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Medina will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 624th, while the Panthers are ranked 183rd).
On Saturday, Medina lost to the Wildcats on the road by a decisive 60-44 margin.
Meanwhile, Newfane had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.8 points), and they went ahead and made it 13 on Wednesday. They blew past Wilson, posting a 76-39 win at home. Newfane has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Landon Braman, who scored 32 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Capen Mac, who scored 11 points.
Medina's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Newfane, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.
Medina was dealt a bruising 75-40 loss at the hands of the Panthers in their previous matchup on Monday. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Medina was down 42-15.
