The Arapahoe Warriors lost against the Cambridge Trojans back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Arapahoe fell to Cambridge 45-40. Arapahoe has struggled against Cambridge recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Arapahoe lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Berkley Warner, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sage Larson, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Arapahoe struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cambridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mallory Springer, who scored ten points along with three steals. Springer is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Brylyn Springer was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Arapahoe has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Cambridge, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arapahoe will take on Bertrand at TBD on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Bertrand is ranked 182nd, while Arapahoe is ranked 172nd). As for Cambridge, they will be playing at home against Alma at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Alma focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Friday.
