The Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Powers Catholic Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Plymouth Christian Academy didn't have too much trouble with Lutheran at home as they won 65-50.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plymouth Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ray Weber, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Beasley, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Powers Catholic waltzed into Tuesday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Carrollton, posting a 76-44 win on the road. Given Powers Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Carrollton is ranked 146th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Javontae Ross was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 14 points along with 7 assists and 6 steals. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Christian Dedivanaj, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
The win got Plymouth Christian Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Powers Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
