It was fun while it lasted, but Tri-Valley's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to Marian Catholic. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Marian Catholic was led to victory by Jacob De La Cruz and Bryan Ferreira. De La Cruz went 8 of 14 en route to 19 points and four steals, while Ferreira went 7 of 11 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rocco Griguoli, who posted three points along with 11 boards and three blocks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tri-Valley fell to 5-1. As for Marian Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.

Tri-Valley will venture away from home to square off against Pine Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Marian Catholic, they will host MMI Preparatory School at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th.
