Gene Huang was a major factor in Inspiration Academy Red's win over MVP Baseball Academy on Monday. Huang struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Huang and Inspiration Academy Red will venture away from home to challenge IMG Academy Silver at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 203 places lower in Florida), but they're not letting that get them down.
