3A/4A Mideastern Top Player Performances of the Week

Big Game from Hebron As Topsail Won 31-20
Starting off the list is Topsail's Eli Hebron, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hebron rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging two interceptions.
For the year, Hebron has thrown 5 touchdowns while averaging 85 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 24.6 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 58.4 rushing yards.

Quinn Bentley was a major factor in Ashley's victory over New Hanover on Friday. Nobody could stop Bentley as he rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.

South Brunswick had to settle for second on Monday, but Jack Earley sure wasn't going down easily. Earley turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 27 yards.
South Brunswick is on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5. Earley will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Topsail on Friday.

Ellis Williams Goes Supernova in Laney Win
Laney found a leader in Ellis Williams as the squad took down South Brunswick on Monday. Williams was unstoppable, rushing for 115 yards and two touchdowns.
Laney pushed their record up to 3-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Williams and Laney will challenge West Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Paxton Lee Makes It Two for Topsail
