Pennington extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 14-2 in the process. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the West Windsor-Plainsboro South Pirates a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Red Hawks, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

As for West Windsor-Plainsboro South, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. The game marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

For West Windsor-Plainsboro South's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nihan Palla, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Palla's first of the season.

Looking ahead, Pennington will square off against Hopewell Valley Central at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Windsor-Plainsboro South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Peddie at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
