After a string of three wins, the Harrah Panthers's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 54-42 to Putnam City. Harrah lost against Putnam City in their previous head to head back in December of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-55 score last time.
Harrah's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sayler Eaton, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Eaton pulled down eight or more rebounds. Ashley Hamm was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Harrah's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Putnam City, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrah won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Marshall at 12:00 p.m. on December 8th. Putnam City won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Shawnee on December 8th.
