There's no place like home for the Dorman Cavaliers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Gaffney by a score of 69-59 on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Defeat or not, Gaffney got some senior leadership from Markell Hollis and Judd Price. Hollis scored 25 points, while Price. scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. It was the first time this season that Price scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rickey Littlejohn, who scored six points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Dorman has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Gaffney, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dorman will take on Spartanburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gaffney, they will be playing at home against James F. Byrnes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gaffney knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten contests -- so hopefully James F. Byrnes likes a good challenge.
